    Celebrations are important for communities, because it shows what that community is, what is believes in, and what it stands for.

    It is an important festival because it commemorates the separation of the two Ilocos provinces, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte. It is a celebration of its cultures and traditions, and showcases the indigenous performances, religious rituals, and also shows cooking demos that features the best Ilocano dishes.

    The Kannawidan Festival is the pride of the Ilocanos, because of its significance, and how it shows the uniqueness of the province. It is a celebration that lasts from the last week of January and ends on the first week of February. It is important to the Ilocanos that the youth recognize this celebration because it is our culture.

    The Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is a celebration of its cultures and traditions, and its separation from Ilocos Norte. It is an important part of the Ilocano culture.

 Vigan City Fiesta Celebration in the New Normal      It is important to celebrate and have fun, but unfortunately, it doesn’t come without its risks.      The new normal is a burden we all have to deal with, and is also limits us to be able to properly celebrate fiestas and whatnot. I understand that it is an important tradition and celebration to many, but to be safe, I don’t think it is worth the risk of still getting the virus.      However, it is still possible but only if people follow the proper safety precautions, such as getting vaccinated, wearing a facemask, making sure to wash their hands, and trying to stay a distance away from other people.     If you can avoid it, then it is probably best to, in order to keep safe. It is still possible to celebrate a fiesta at home.

     The Lenten season is an important religious observance to the Christian Filipinos because it is a season to reflect on the suffering of Christ.      Lent of kwaresma is the season where the Filipino people set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ’s passion, suffering, death, burial, and resurrection. It begins on Ash Wednesday, which is the practice of blessing ashes made from palm branches that came from Palm Sunday and placing them on the forehead of the devotee in the form of a cross. It lasts about 40 days. The word Lent is a shortened form of the old English word lencten, which means “spring season”.
